Global Team Management Best Practices

Overview:  Geographically distributed global engineering teams is now a norm in the IT and Software industry. This training program is developed and delivered in collaboration by Sound Paradigm and Inside Outsource Consulting (www.isosconsulting.com), one with substantial experience as a service provider in India and the other as an outsourcer from the US, to share best practices derived from hands on experience in building several global software engineering teams.

Audience: Software professionals working in (or expected to work in) Global Teams

Prerequisites: A few years of professional experience in the software technology industry

Delivery Method: Classroom Training with one instructor onsite the other joining using internet based technologies such as WebEx, GoToMeeting etc. We have the ability to deliver the training program at locations in the US and India. Templates or mock-ups are provided for the recommended best practices.

Audience Size: Not more than 20 attendees

Duration: 12-15 Hours (either as two full days or multiple sessions of shorter duration)

Logistics:

  • Prior to the program one of the instructors has a dialog with the participants and tries to understand their pain-points
  • We recommend that this program be split as sessions separated by a few days so that the attendees get an opportunity to implement the recommended best practices and the results are discussed during the subsequent sessions
  • The instructors can be available on e-mail during the program to answer any queries in implementing the recommendations
